notes for anyone flying in from Milan ✳

I meet the Milan flights, Linate and Malpensa both, here's what I'd tell you

If you're on the Linate flight into London City, you land closest of all, straight into the City with the Wharf a short run away, about two hours in the air. From Malpensa it's Heathrow, British Airways into Terminal 5, a touch under two hours. I'll have watched the flight from the moment it left Milan, board up past customs, and if it runs late I run late with it. You don't pay for the wait.

Small things worth knowing

  • London is one hour behind Milan, so the early flight still leaves you the full day here.
  • Fares are fixed and I'll quote them in euros or pounds. Italian cards are fine, no cash needed.
  • Since April 2025 you'll need a UK ETA to come over, £20 on the official app, approved in a day. Sort it before you fly.

How you'll find me

The Linate flight comes into London City, a short walk from the door, and I'm in that arrivals hall with your name on a board. From Malpensa you'll come into Heathrow, British Airways at Terminal 5, and I'm at that barrier the same way. I'll have your flight on my phone, so I'm there when you land, not when you call.

How the fare works

The price is fixed before you fly and it does not move: not for a delayed flight, not for traffic, not for the time I wait at the barrier. I'll quote it in euros or pounds the moment you tell me the flight and where you're headed. Card or account, nothing to settle in the car.

What Milan clients actually book me for

Nearly always business, and the fast kind: in on the Linate flight, a car kept on for meetings in the City, at the Wharf or up in Mayfair, then back for an evening flight. Fashion and design weeks bring the bigger jobs, a car and driver for the run of days. Tell me the shape of it and I'll keep the car where you need it.

a few things people ask

Before you book

Linate or Malpensa, which is better for me?

If your meeting is in the City or Canary Wharf, the Linate flight into London City lands you closest and clears in minutes. Malpensa into Heathrow suits Mayfair and the west. Tell me where you're headed and I'll say which saves you time.

Can you do the day and get me back for the evening flight?

Yes, it's the common one from Milan. I'll meet the morning flight, keep the car with you through your meetings, and have you back at the terminal in good time. One fixed fare for the day.

What if my flight is delayed?

I track it. If the flight slips, I slip with it and I'm at the barrier when you come through. The fixed fare covers the wait, so a late flight costs you nothing extra.

What car will I get?

A Mercedes S-Class for one or two travelling light, the V-Class if there are more of you or the bags run to a trade-fair stand. Tell me the numbers and I'll send the right one.
